Already There

Today I have decided to take time to be, to simply be.
I have decided that today, everything is all done, or can be finished later.
I have decided that I have everything I need, and that nothing at all is wrong.
I have decided, in fact, that all is very good, and will only get better.
I have decided to sweep out the fictional haunts of “need and supposed to do”
because they are always looking for something to be wrong.
And though there is more room in my new “All's Well” world,
I have decided that "need to" and "supposed to do" are not welcome back.
I have decided today not to try to, or need to, do anything, just to be.
I have decided to sit and watch the birds swarm the feeder,
to listen to the sprinkler run as the wind play in the trees.
I have found time to notice a leaf, loosened by the breeze
and watch as it tumble through the air.
I watch as the grass, reaching for the sun catches the leaf lovingly.
Today as I tumble through this do nothing day
I have decided that a thousand unseen hands of unconditional love will catch me too.
I have decided today to take time to be, simply be, and to take time for me.
I have decided that today there is no place to go, because I am already there.
